How to travel to Zermatt

Journey by car

Zermatt is car-free. Access for private traffic is only permitted up to Täsch. Täsch lies 5 km before Zermatt, the road Täsch - Zermatt is closed for public traffic. From Täsch you can take a taxi or train to Zermatt.

What do we recommend:

Make your journey as comfortable as possible.

We would be happy to recommend that you park your car at Taxi Christoph in Täsch and then take the taxi service to Zermatt. At the entrance to Zermatt you change to an electric taxi of the same company, which will take you directly to the nearby hiking trail, in summer even up to the chalets.

If you prefer to take the train in Täsch, you can park directly at the station and then take the shuttle Täsch-Zermatt, which runs every 20 minutes. The journey takes 12 minutes.

You can transport your luggage from your car to the train using the luggage trolley (free of charge, deposit coin CHF 5.-).

At the train station in Zermatt you can take an electric taxi and take it to our chalets. We recommend that you take the company Taxi Christoph, which will even take you up to the chalets in summer.
